perfect for walking to class on these chilly fall mornings. takesĀ a second to kick in but then sounds really nice through headphones when you’re half awake and staring down two midterms.

in honor of the FMA’s new embedd-able player, some new music from Tonstartssbandht (that is a pain to type out).
perfect if you’re in the mood for some weird ambient goodness. you should remember them from the amazing “Black Country.” I think it was on one of the summer mixes I had up.
let’s hope this thing works!

the Golden Filter is back to politely remind us that disco isn’t dead with “Thunderbird,” which you can download at Gorilla vs. Bear and then totally jam out to for the rest of the day. thank me later. sounds a lot like their last song, but I’m not really complaining.
don’t forget to tune in tomorrow night at 8 at cofcradio.com!
who’d have thought we’d see the day that a Columbia artist remixing another Columbia artist would make it on Pitchfork? Toro y Moi has put together a nice little remix of Washed Out’s “Feel it All Around” that you can download over at Pitchfork. makes me feel like laying in the sun by a lake and almost makes me miss Columbia.
I’m thinking a hazy little podcast might come together soon so keep your eyes and ears open.
and don’t forget to tune in tonight at 8 pm!
a drowsily haunting tune for your Wednesday night: “The Last Rose of Summer” by Moore and Davis. it’s from 1922 and it features a singing saw. how cool is that?
found in this excellent blog entry on the FMA today.
thanks to everyone who tuned in last night! and if you missed it, be sure to listen next week. hopefully I won’t be so nervous next time.
